Armed Robbers Kill NFF Official in Abuja Home

Armed bandits operating in Kado Estate, Abuja, Wednesday morning, shot and killed the head of protocol, Nigeria Football Federation, Mr Ibrahim Abubakar.

The late Abubakar, whose body is being buried in Kaduna about now, is survived by a wife and three children. He was 43.

Armed robbers operate freely in many parts of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, partly owing to law enforcement agents’ inefficiency. Dei-Dei, Lokogoma, Karu and Gwagwalada are among districts that have come under bandits’ raid in recent times. Calls put to police hotlines are almost always useless: police patrol vans come too late with blaring horns to warn the robbers off.
