Former CPC chieftain and former military governor of Kaduna State Jafaru Isa is under arrest at the EFCC for receiving $5million (N1.2billion) from embattled former NSA Sambo Dasuki. Isa is a close friend of President Buhari.
First Republic politician Tanko Yakassai, for his part, was said to have received N63million from Dasuki. Though not yet arrested, he has admitted he got the money but said it was meant for him and eight others whose brief was to approach select northern emirs and preach peace during the 2015 polls. Nobody beleives the 91-year-old. PDP chieftain Tony Anenih named Yakassai while giving account of almost N270million he had got from Dasuki.
Armsgate or Dasukigate has been trending for six weeks now. It has been revelaled that $2.1billion (N550billion) meant for purchase of arms and ammunition for fighting Boko Haram was diverted to PDP politicians and their collaborators.
