Terror kingpin Abubakar Shekau has delivered an audio message in which he described Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari and army authorities as liars for claiming victory over the evil group.
“We are alive, I am alive. This is my voice, more audible than it was before. This is Shekau,” he said.
The Boko Haram leader is believed to have been killed, however. He has not appeared on video since March, and there is no proof that the voice in the audio is his.
The evil sect that has killed over 20, 000 people and displaced at least 2million since 2009 followed up Shekau’s message with suicide bombings on the outskirts of Maiduguri on Sunday evening.
Scores of victims were feared dead after explosions rocked an area called “Ajilari Railway Cross” in the Borno State capital.
Many were injured. Others fled the area.
