A report from the BBC Hausa Service says that Boko Haram terrorists, who are being pursued from the north-east states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, struck in Kano on Saturday night.
Earlier in the day, they struck in Gombe but were repelled by soldiers. A 24-hour curfew was imposed on Gombe.
Details of the latest Kano attack are sketchy. More on Sunday.
