After midnight today, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria will stop receiving nominations of party candidates for the presidential and National Assembly elections slated for February 14, 2015.
The electoral body had indicated that the parties would not be permitted to change their candidates, as was the case in the past.
After the publication of party candidates for the elections, many of them are likely to campaign against other candidates even in their own parties. Some presidential candidates may be betrayed.
