Presumed leader of Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau spoke again Sunday in a video, Agence France Presse (AFP) has reported. As usual, he offers proof that he is not dead as claimed by the Nigerian government. He also denied that his group was negotiating with Nigeria and threatened to kill anyone that approached the group with a peace proposal.
One of the questions being asked is why AFP, the French news agency, always obtains Shekau’s video first. France and the francophone countries bordering Nigeria have been implicated in the insurgency ravaging north-east Nigeria.
