Emir of Kano and former Cental Bank of Nigeria governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has got his international passport back. The State Security Service (SSS) had seized the travel document early this year when he fell out with the presidency after he raised the alarm about missing $20billion oil funds. He was removed as CBN governor on Feb. 20.
He became Emir of Kano in June, following the death of Emir Ado Bayero.
Only last week, he and President Goodluck Jonathan became friends again — the reason for the return of his passport.
