NOVEMBER 16 — Wednesday is the birth anniversary of two great Nigerians: first president Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and world-acclaimed storyteller Prof. Chinua Achebe.
Had they been alive, Zik would have clocked 112 years and Achebe, 86 years. Zik died on May 11, 1996, while Achebe died on March 23, 2013.
Friends and associates will remember them in different ways on Wednesday.
Both men hailed from today’s Anambra State: Zik from Onitsha and Achebe from Ogidi.
