No fewer than 264 people had lost their lives Thursday evening in Haiti, as Hurricane Matthew continued its onslaught in the country. In some areas, most buildings had collapsed.
The death toll kept rising as the devastation worsened.
Haiti has often come under attack by natural disasters including wild winds and earthquakes.
