Supreme Court Endorses Udom, Ikpeazu

Last week, it was the Nigerian Supreme Court that made Nyesom Wike smile by ruling that he was validly elected governor of Rivers State last April. On Wednesday evening, the same Supreme Court refused to disappoint Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia states: it told them to “carry go”!

Taraba may be next.

The credibility of Nigeria’s apex court has come under attack since last week. Debates over the difference between law and justice have resurfaced, while allegations of “Ghana-must-go” in motion have been made.

After the Supreme Court, a dissatisfied party can appeal only to God.
