Boko Haram terrorists on Friday evening bombed at least three places in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city. A market and a police station in Kuje were bombed. Another bomb exploded at Nyanya motor park.

Scores of people were feared killed. Many more were wounded.

Boko Haram’s return to the FCT, at a time the military were claiming victory over the group in the north-east, casts an ugly slur on the Nigerian government.

In his Independence anniversay speech, President M. Buhari said the terroririst sect’s days were numbered. Likely, the Abuja bombings were a quick response from an evil sect that reportedly recently started poisoning water sources.
