Armed bandits stormed the Lagos home of Mr Steve Nwosu, deputy MD of Daily Sun newspapers, about 2:30am on Monday, September 14, and abducted his wife Toyin.
Hours later, the kidnappers contacted the family and demanded N100million as ransom.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists and other organisations have condemned the criminals’ action and demanded immediate action from law enforcement agents.
UPDATE: Toyin regained her freedom in the early hours of Thursday, three days after.
