Across Europe, America and Asia, ceremonies are being held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. Russia, USA, Britain and even nations in Africa have held occasions to mark the end of the terrible war.
Nazi Germany led by Adolph Hitler provoked the war in 1939. For six years, the world was in turmoil, leading to the death of an estimated 80million people and destruction of unquantifiable items.
Germany and Japan surrendered. Hitler committed suicide around April 30, 1945, along with his girlfriend Eva Braun.
