Saturday, February 7, is the “irrevocable” date for the coronation of Emir of Kano Muhammed Sanusi II.
The event has appeared in Eyeway’s “HAPPENING SOON…” column since October 2014.
Originally expected to take place on Sep. 13, the date was shifted at least twice. Sanusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, was chosen after the death of Emir Ado Bayero in June 2014.
World leaders, especially from Muslim countries, are expected to witness the coronation in Kano. It will be the first in 51 years.
