Nigeria’s ruling party, PDP, has been entertaining TV viewers with its mock convention in Abuja meant to “choose” its presidential candidate in the Feb. 2015 election.
This came after other aspirants had been forced to withdraw for the incumbent president.
Everyone already knows the winner: Jonathan will win, Jonathan will lose. It is democracy in action in Nigeria.
The election — if it ever takes place — will be a keen contest between the PDP and the APC that is also conducting its presidential primary in Lagos.
