Nigeria’s information minister Labaran Maku and six other ministers have left president Jonathan’s cabinet in order to contest elections as governors in their states. The rest are Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu (minister of health from Ebonyi), Musiliu Obanikoro (state for defence), Chief Nyesom Wike (state for education), Chief Emeka Nwogu (labour and productivity), Chief Samuel Ortom (state for trade and investment) and Chief Darius Ishaku (state for Niger Delta affairs).
