Each member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly has received a minimum of N124million from the state’s acting governor, Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri, who was their speaker until recently. The money was for sundry allowances denied them by former governor Murtala Nyako. The real motive behind Nyako’s impeachment and the meaning of “gross misconduct” are becoming clear.
