Nigeria’s latest e-commerce platform, Dealboku, has opened for business this Thursday, July 9, 2020. Promoted by Sundiata Post Media Limited, publishers of Sundiata Post, a fast-growing multimedia news platform, Dealboku delivers services in two forms: clients get a product either directly from the merchant or through its [Dealboku’s] office or agent.”
According to a statement signed by Mr Max Amuchie, founder/CEO of Sundiata Post Media, Dealboku is an idea whose time has come. He said unlike the conventional online shops where goods are sold at shelf prices, Dealboku is an online deals marketplace where merchants sell same products and offer same services at discounted prices.
“We have built a robust platform that is unique in its approach to e-commerce. Both buyers and sellers are assured of excellent customer care and quality products and services at discounted prices,” he said.
On the site of Dealboku, visitors are welcomed to “Search, sell and buy anything in Nigeria” on the e-commerce platform that is “simple, fast and efficient”.
Already on display for sale at discounted prices are items ranging from Hamburger and Floham pap to one-tenth portion of a cow, a quarter portion of a full ram, and a quarter of a full goat.
Services on offer include “Special spa session with facials” and “Honeywell spa session”.
The e-commerce platform speaks for itself: “We serve a retail customer base that continues to grow exponentially, offering products that span various categories including phones, computers, clothing, shoes, home appliances, books, healthcare, baby products, personal care and much more.”
It elaborates in “ABOUT US”: “Dealboku is Nigeria’s leading online service and product deals market place with head office in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
“We are an online store where you can purchase all your services like spa, food, training etc. and products ranging from fashion items for men, women, and children; electronics, kitchen gadgets, furniture and other forms of products. All these are available at discounted prices and the products and services are to ensure customers’ satisfaction.
“Dealboku is user-friendly starting from shopping, adding to cart, payment and delivery of the products. The payment system is so flexible and very easy to use.
“Dealboku has a quality control team whose job is to ensure that all merchants’ locations are visited to ensure conducive environment for all our services and also to ensure that any product listed by a merchant is exactly what is delivered to the customer.”
Sundiata Post has become the first media platform in Nigeria to go into full e-commerce business. Amuchie said it is symbolic that Dealboku is opening business on same day (Thursday) in July 2020 that Sundiata Post was officially unveiled in Abuja five years earlier: the news site was unveiled at an impressive ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, July 7, 2015.
The project consultant for Dealboku, Mrs Hannah Atomode, said: “When you hear the word ‘deal’, the first thing that comes to mind is reduction in price while maintaining the product or service quality.
“The goal of Dealboku is to get good discounted deals to you at your doorstep. A team of people agreed to build an e-commerce site using their bargaining power to get good price and get it delivered to you.
“The team has been working very hard to build a beautiful and a user-friendly website. This is a platform that comprises various products and services from fashion, automobile, furniture, foods, beauty, food, Spa and wellness to hotels, online trainings etc.
“The payment system is not cumbersome, it is so simple and easy to use. There are three payment options, namely: payment using credit card, payment using wallet, and payment by bank transfer.”
