After about five hours of sitting this Wednesday, a seven-man panel led by Tanko Mohammed, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), gave its verdict: it held that the appeal by the PDP presidential candidate in the February 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, lacked merit.
The Supreme Court upheld the judgement of the presidential election petition tribunal which affirmed the election of President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.
