Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has travelled to the United Kingdom “on a private visit”, a release signed by his SA (media and publicity) Mr Femi Adesina says. “He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.”

Buhari jetted off after an official visit to Lagos Wednesday where he commissioned a number of projects executed by the state government, and another official visit to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Thursday.

The Nigeria leader spent more than 100 days at a stretch in the U.K. in 2017 for health reasons, sparking protests at home and in the U.K.
