INEC has yet to make available result sheets and other materials used for the presidential election of February 23 to PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and his party as directed by the election petition tribunal on Wednesday. There is no information on the poll at INEC, online and offline.
Under Nigerian law, results should not be announced until they are ready – until results are collated from result sheets and information on the card readers.
Pundits are speculating that INEC’s failure to produce the necessary documents might lead to cancellation of the election.
