NOVEMBER 18 — The electorate in Anambra State, Nigeria, will go to the polls to elect a new governor or renew Governor Willie Obiano’s mandate for four more years. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the election date in Abuja.
In a statement signed by Prince Solomon Soyebi, INEC national commissioner, the agency said it approved the timetable and schedule for the poll at its meeting on Thursday.
Obiano is in APGA. His challengers are flocking to the APC; some will still seek relevance in the PDP and other parties.
