Prof. Wole Soyinka, one of the eminent personalities that endorsed Muhammadu Buhari for president early last year, Thursday visited the Nigerian leader in Aso Villa. They met in private, at the end of which Soyinka told reporters waiting for him at the door that he visited to “discuss one or two things”.
Prodded to speak further, he said he discussed national and international matters with the president and that he would hold a press conference next week.
Many Nigerians who supported Buhari before the general election in 2015 have since become disillusioned. Poverty and hunger rule the roost in most Nigerian homes, with scarcity of everything but misery.
