More than once, veteran actress Bukki Ajai acted as if she was dead in a film. Her death became real Wednesday morning. She was 82. Madam Ajai was, until recently, a regular face in Nollywood and in some Yoruba films. She has been buried at Atan cemetery in Lagos according to Islamic rites.
Also, the death has been announced of Third Republic presidential aspirant Umaru Shinkafi on Wednesday evening (about 4:07pm). Shinkafi, born on January 19, 1937, headed the National Security Organisation from 1979 to 1983. She lost the presidential primary of the NRC to Bashir Tofa in 1993, and was one of the founding fathers of the APP in 1998.
Shinkafi died in a London hospital. His corpse is likely to be flown into Nigeria for burial in his home state Zamfara on Thursday.
