Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the country Sunday evening after spending almost two weeks in London. His plane touched down at the Abuja airport about 5:30pm. Characteristic of sycophants, many ministers, two governors and most presidential aides lined up at the airport to “welcome” him.
Buhari left Abuja on June 6 for London to treat an ear infection after doctors had seen him in Nigeria. He told the legislature it would be a 10-day leave but he later extended it. He is expected to resume work this Monday.
While he was away, his deputy Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was acting president.
