From June 12, eligible candidates are expected to apply online for 500, 000 teaching vacancies under the Nigerian government’s social welfare programme. The web portal is www.npower.gov.ng and will be activated on June 12.
Details of the programme were announced Wednesday by a media aide of the acting president, Mr Laolu Akande.
There will also be programmes for technology, building and petty trading. But the graduates will earn about N23, 000 monthly for the duration of the two-year programme.
