A former pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Dr Emeka Enejere, has reportedly died of cancer. He died in Abuja.
As chairman of UNN’s Council, between 2012 and 2013, Enejere exposed high-level corruption in UNN, prompting those indicted to move against him. He was removed as pro-chancellor after he had served for just six months.
Dr Enejere, in his 70s, retired from the political science department of UNN. He was noted as a brilliant lecturer.
