Foremost lawyer and politician Dr Tunji Braithwaite kicked the bucket this Monday. He was 82.
Braithwaite died in a private hospital in Lagos.
A household name, he founded the Nigeria Advance Party in 1982 and was its presidential candidate in the 1983 general election in Nigeria.
Tributes have been pouring in from Nigerian leaders and abroad.
