Dan Unimna (1965–2015)

Oct. 22 — The curtain fell, this morning, behind a media giant, a public relations guru, and one of the most decent Nigerian businessmen of his generation. Mr Dan Unimna, 50, passed away in his sleep.

He was not known to be a sick man, except that he used to manage high blood pressure and, early this year, had a lump removed from his cheek. In the last few weeks, he visited his doctor often.

Until his demise, he was the editor-in-chief of FirstAfricanews.ng, which he co-founded last year. He was also the CEO of Sylk Stream Concepts Ltd, and on the board of a few other companies.

Dan leaves behind a wife and a daughter who is a student in the University of Massachusetts, USA. He leaves behind the broken hearts of several friends and relations.
