No fewer than 10 LGAs in Kaduna State and a part of Adamawa State are facing a flood disaster after a downpour and suspected opening of a dam.
Settlements around the river bank were hardest hit, according to the State Emergency Management Agency.
Over 30, 000 residents have been displaced after over 2, 000 houses were submerged.
Barnawa, Tudun-wada, Kigo Road, Karatudu, Kabala Constain, Anguwan Rimi, Kudendan, Rafin Guza, Badiko, Hayin Mallam Mani and Gonin Gora were among places affected in Kaduna metropolis.
