Prince Abubakar Audu, who governed Kogi State from 1999 to 2003 under the platform of the defunct APP, may return to Lugard House later this year. He has won the governorship ticket of the APC in the poll expected to take place in a few weeks.
Audu will challenge incumbent governor Idris Wada of the PDP.
Since he failed to win reelection in 2003, Audu has contested every gubernatorial poll from then and lost. He is likely to win this time round.
