Senator-elect Buruji Kashamu (PDP, Ogun East) was at the weekend arrested in his Lekki, Lagos, home by men of the NDLEA.
He is wanted in the United States to answer drug-related charges, said Olusegun Obasanjo, Bode George and others. Kashamu fingers George and his wife as the brains behind his latest ordeal.
NDLEA is said to be preparing papers for the senator-elect’s extradition to the US. The agency said it had received a formal request from America.
