The chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih, and the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mua’zu, have resigned their positions.
Anenih said he resigned to make way for outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan. Calls for Mua’zu’s resignation have been on since the loss of the party in the general elections.
More chieftains of the party are likely to jump or be pushed soon.
