The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has denied reports that it shut its doors against Chief Jim Nwobodo and Professor Bart Nnaji.
In a press release, the chairman of the party in the state, Dr Ben Nwoye, said both men are great sons of the state and that the APC never made any move to exclude them. It blamed “ministerial chasers” for the false reports.
Nwobodo, 75, was the governor of the old Anambra State in the Second Republic, a former minister and a former senator.
Nnaji, a professor of robotic engineering, is a two-time minister and chairman of Geometric Power Ltd.
