It’s called xenophobic attacks — the killing of foreigners by locals ostensibly fearing that the former are taking their jobs. Many Nigerians are currently being killed in South Africa in another round of such attacks in a country Nigeria spent a fortune to liberate from apartheid.
Nigeria should put its house in order: create opportunities for its citizens so they would remain in their country. It should break diplomatic relations with South Africa if Jacob Zuma failed to rein in his compatriots. South Africa must pay compensation to the families of those killed and punish the murderers at once.
