MARCH 9-21 – Over 1.4 million candidates will sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across Nigeria. UTME is conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), hence candidates for UTME are also called “Jambites” in Nigeria.
Originally billed to take place on March 4, UTME has been shifted: it begins on March 9 and ends on March 21, 2015.
This year’s university entrance exam is remarkable because it will be the first time all the candidates will take the computer-based test (CBT).
JAMB registrar Dibu Ojerinde had, over the years, been preparing students’ minds for the CBT from 2015 onward.
JAMB’s Mr Fabian Benjamin stated recently: “All the logistics for the examination have been put in place and the examination will start on March 9 across the 400 centres in the country.
“The examination has been scheduled to hold and last for 10 days and will be concluded on March 21.
“We urge students to begin with revisions and buckle up for what is about to begin. Please note that you cannot change your course until after the examination.
“To know your exam date and centre, please go and reprint your slip.
“Good luck!”
Each candidate’s 2015 JAMB UTME examination date and venue are written on their print-out slip.
