Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Malam Garba Shehu has alerted the world to a plot by the ruling PDP of Nigeria aimed at linking APC presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari to Boko Haram, all in a bid to de-market Buhari who appears set to win this year’s presidential election.
The plot, according to Shehu, is to arrest a fake Abubakar Shekau (Boko Haram leader) who would “confess” that the group had been working for the APC and Buhari. When President Jonathan reportedly ordered that Shekau be captured alive, it was a dress rehearsal for the plot, Shehu said.
The APC spokesman queried: the government said it had killed Shekau; which Shekau does it want to capture alive?
There have been reports in recent times about the troops working to capture Shekau alive.
