A female suicide bomber detonated her wares near a motor park in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, on Sunday, killing at least 15 people instantly and wounding scores of others.
Eyewitnesses said the figure is sure to rise.
The police in Damaturu have confirmed the incident.
