Ekiti State of Nigeria has a new governor: Ayo Peter Fayose, who has promised to be a born-again politician.
During the governorship campaigns, PDP candidate Fayose reported that his wife had seen a vision of him being sworn in on October 16, the same date he was removed by impeachment eight years ago. Governor Kayode Fayemi of APC taunted him, saying his wife could have eaten too much amala after which she had a dream.
As it has turned out, Fayose’s wife’s prohecy has come true
In the governorship contest held on June 21, the PDP candidate defeated incumbent governor Fayemi by a wide margin. The matter has gone to court. But Fayemi is handing over to Fayose this Oct. 16.
